The Corallo e Cammeo Torrese Consortium is born: the official presentation on May 16
Friday, May 16 at 10:00 am, at the Circolo Nautico of Torre del Greco, the official presentation of the new Corallo e Cammeo Torrese Consortium will be held, established on the initiative of the Assocoral members.
During the event, the process that led to the creation of this new operational tool will be illustrated, along with its objectives and the milestones already achieved, just a few months after its establishment.
Institutional greetings will be given by:
Antonio Marchiello, Councillor for Productive Activities, Labor, State Property and Heritage of the Campania Region
Luigi Mennella, Mayor of the Municipality of Torre del Greco
Vincenzo Giannotti, President D.Or. Campania
Following this, Vincenzo Aucella – President of the Consortium and former President of Assocoral –
will officially present the project, illustrating its genesis, the logo, and the activity program.
The event will continue with a round table entitled:
“Protected Geographical Indications (PGI) for artisanal and industrial products. A new challenge”,
which will feature the participation of nationally and internationally renowned guests:
Matteo Farsura, Global Exhibition Manager – Jewellery & Fashion Division, IEG
Roberto Luongo, Advisor to the Minister for Internationalization and Enhancement of Made in Italy – Secretary General of the Leonardo Committee
Steven Tranquilli, Director of Confcommercio Federpreziosi
The round table will be an important opportunity to reflect on the potential of PGI applied to the local craftsmanship of Torre del Greco, the process to follow, and the benefits that such recognition could bring.
The meeting will be moderated by Giovanni Micera, Director of the trade magazine Preziosa Magazine.
